Every young person deserves the opportunity to build a future they are proud of. Yet, with South Africa facing one of the highest youth unemployment rates in the world, that opportunity remains out of reach for far too many young people. As we mark Youth Month and remember the 50th anniversary of the Soweto Youth Uprising this June, Grootbos Foundation remains committed to supporting young people in building sustainable futures through career development, employability support, and entrepreneurship mentorship.
Our Enterprise Development Programmes empower youth across the Cape Floral Region. From Grade 9 and 12 learners exploring their futures through career orientation programmes, to school leavers and young adults accessing employability workshops, workplace experience, and entrepreneurship support, our programmes are designed to meet young people where they are and help them take the next step forward.
We support young people in their career development and helped create opportunities for them to generate their own income with confidence.
