We have every confidence that German Lewis aka ‘Lightning Bolt’ will qualify again and will hope to defend his 2019 title; Jack Armondo aka ‘Never gets tired’ plans to challenge German; and young hopeful Rodonold Lottering aka ‘Fast feet’ is hoping to qualify and climb to the top of the podium. In an unfamiliar world stripped of hope by the pandemic, where children from vulnerable communities have so little to make them feel safe, strong and optimistic about the future, these youths and their friends have thrown themselves heart and soul into the development sports programmes of the Football Foundation. Sports is how we shall heal. Help these young athletes follow the road and their dreams to the SA Championships.
